Facilitated by Phyllis Labanowski

with the help of The Art Garden’s artist/director, Jane Wegscheider

Upcoming dates:

May 1

Come to one or all of the sessions!

Art for A Change is for

- artists who want their creativity engaged,

- activists who want their work to be more creative,

and...

- community members who want to be a part of it all.

We will workshop the ideas that participants bring to the table to work on in the company of others who care about

art + activism, both locally and globally.

Bring a project you care about to work on.

OR

Help incubate the ideas of others.

No idea is too small or too large to work on.

We are more creative when we work together,

so everyone who comes will be encouraged to participate

Donations are always welcome.

Simple snacks + tea provided;

feel free to bring your dinner.

BCorner came to Art for a Change with a piece of data: It only takes 3.5% of us.

Those present worked with her to incubate how that data could be used to activate people around the climate emergency. She left the meeting with the idea to create 100 people

(a visual data set) which were traced on recycled animal feed bags, painted, and installed at the Art Garden’s 2024 Winter HooPLa.

115 hours later with 135 additinal hours donated by local friends and volunteers,

she completed the project which will be traveling to other events in the coming year.
